Sandy Saplun. Between Lastovnjaci, the islands just a few miles from Lastovo, known for its beauty, pines and sandy bay is the island of Saplun. Also close by are the islets of Arženjaci, Česvinica, Stomorina and Lukovci. A paradise for sailors who anchor here and even more so for visitors.
How to get to this earthly paradise!?
Boat excursion. You don't need to own your own boat during the tourist season. Every day Mr. Tino Frlan (020 801164) with his boat Nediljka sails from the bay of Zaklopatica to Saplun and back.
When? Departure is in the morning at 10 am and arrival is in the early evening about 5 pm. The boat is comfortable, safe and fast with enough room for about 15 passengers. The price for the trip and a fish lunch (the fish is prepared on a grill plus salad, wine and fruit) is 200 KN per person.
About Saplun. Saplun is beautiful, full of trees and shady - plus, it has what is very rare on these remote open sea islands: sand! It is ideal for children and games in the sand. All you need to bring with you are your towels and sunscreen. The rest is just fun! The photos say it best.
